the class (after the 4 - 5 weeks) you will get to take
them all home all your supplies for FREE! You can't
beat that! You get to draw comics, get to use artistic
tools, learn comic book drawing tips, have access to
comic book drawing library books, ask tons of questions
and then you get to take home all your stuff for FREE!
Why
Our Library Classes Were Free*?
There are many reasons why Strong
Ave. Studios and the KCK Argentine Library
offered these classes for FREE...
|
1)
The creator of Amigoman - The Latin Avenger
comic book remembers what it was like when
he was a kid and there were not many free
opportunities from his community to teach
kids interesting and fun things - like art,
music, sports or science. So he brought the
idea to the library and they loved it!
2) Strong Ave. Studios and the KCK Argentine
Library understand there are kids out there
interested in learning or being better artists.
3) Strong Ave. Studios and the KCK Argentine
Library understand that some parents do not
have the budget or time to take their kids
some place out side of the community to learn
art.
4) You never know who in our neighborhoods
just might be the next Walt Disney or Stan
Lee that will make a huge impact in our world
- and hopefully they will give something back
when they get older.
All instructions,
time, class space and supplies are furnished
by the Argentine Library & Strong Ave.
Studios. The only thing we ask, and it is
not required, is that each student brings
one (1) can good to each class for a donation
to a homeless shelter and/or food kitchen.
The cool thing
about the courses is once the student completes
the course, he or she gets to keep the supplies
from the class**

FREE* Does Mean FREE*
But...
Since we do not ask for a cash fee for
our classes and because we know there are less
fortunate
out
there in our community, Strong Ave. Studios thought
it would be a great idea to ask the parents and
students that if they could, bring one (1) canned
good to each class so that we could give to a
local
church or a local food kitchen.
|
Giving
Something Back...
Its our goal
to give something back to the communities that have
been so accepting to our Amigoman comic book character.
The grade school kids are the best! And we figured since
they love our work so much - let's teach them a few
comic book art tricks so they can grow and learn to
love comic books like we did!

Helping
Others In Need -
A Canned Good Goes a Long Way...
Although we do not ask for a cash enrollment fee, Strong
Ave., Studios is asking that each student bring one
(1) canned good to each class. The canned goods will
be donated to either a local church or local food kitchen. |
